Im not a racer, but have worked as a engine tuner/mechanic internationally so I know whats happening. Im not anti rotax and I dont slate any person or team personally. I WANT fair racing.
Im trying to represent average joe. And to be fair he has no chance unless he pays big money to one of the few coke profilers, pays big money to rent an engine, or pays mega money to run in a team.
If scrutineering is going to continue to be so slack at club meets and they arnt going to check head volumes, then hey ho, if for example my squish is 1.2mm on my senior max. I will just take my unwired head off and mill off 0.25mm to bring down to 0.95mm limit. But it will never get found out because they never do head volume checks or bother to take head off and check head with profile gauge - a very easy simple check!!
And Zico:
Talking about engines and world finals, all engines were new out the box (no guru profilers had been inside them). And the race venue was run on control sythetic oil (not caster). So the raceing was very fair/ level and the best driver, not engine won. Which is how rotax should be!!
