I think the system worked perfectly this weekend for Super 1 where the driving standards were good. I understand exactly what Nigel Edwards and other CoC's are trying to achieve. Sometimes they don't punish/call-up because for even a minor offence you have to give points and with most offences carrying 4pts these days it doesn't offer many chances to some drivers. Being able to change the result or punish in a different way is a much better way of sorting it out.

We were called the CoC after a camera review should contact with the driver in front. Normally this would carry a 4pt penalty even though my driver admitted the offence and both drivers just wanted their positions reversed. The CoC was able to rectify the results with both drivers shaking hands. The cameras defiantly increase driving standards.

Two weeks previous we had the same thing happen to us and the driver got 4pts! He admitted the offence and apologised for his error and took his punishment very well. That driver I know does not drive that way and made a mistake and should have only his race result effected not his season with points.

I think giving the CoC's more discretion is the right way forward.
