"There have been anecdotal reports that drivers are not being penalised under regulations that carry automatic penalty points," says Colin Hilton, MSA Chief Executive. "There have also been representations made to the MSA that the comparatively large number of races contested by kart competitors makes them more liable to lose their licences if the regulations are properly enforced.
It’s a pity that anecdotal reports about the Zip nose cone, did not favor us with the same sort result.
As for the “comparatively large number of races contested by kart competitors makes them more liable to lose their licence if the regulations are properly enforced.”
A drive spending more time on the track racing should be even more aware and practice at spotting flags over the poor people who can only do one meeting a month. If drivers have points on there licence, it is for a reason.
I can see this working on the roads with the local police. “ I drive this road pass this speed camera more often than other drivers, so I should not get any points on my licence for not taking any notice of it.”
Big teams that go to races every weekend losing a paying driver, because they too many points on there license. Marshal’s stations are clearly shown on the track you can’t say you did not know the station was there, in the same way you know the local speed cameras.
Sorry about the rant, but this is of some concern.
