People I Know who got the new 2011 chassis have, as you said, now had the older 2010 brake system put on. But why ? apart from the fact it does not work. I remember going to kartmania and Project where barking on about this new brake system they have got for the 2011 model, how light it was and it was going to be the best thing ever ???????? Something can be as light as you want it to be...... but it has to work !! Apparently this brake system was not designed by project.... in fact it is off the shelf from dartford karting. You would think that it would have been tested properly before all the promises that were given. I, like everyone, think the project one is a great kart, does what it says on the tin, but, we all work hard to get the best we can afford for our sons, so all the hype about braking sysyems making that kart so much lighter, although it does not work, but we will put the old one on, does not give me confidence in my hard earned cash. Yes I will still probably buy one, but enough of the bull.
