I can see both sides here guys....
I think Michael might be overstating a bit, but I also see his point.
I can`t comment on the Whilton racing, but in general I think it is absolutely true that the majority of gearbox drivers actually DO have a bit more respect for their equipment, and the wellbeing and equipment of their opposition.
It could be that the majority of Gearbox drivers tend to be of the more mature variety, and the funding comes from their own wallet, rather than that of `daddy`.......it always tends to hurt rather more this way ;-)
I think where Michael got it wrong was suggesting that, pretty much, all direct drive racers are `morons`......this is not the case, there are plenty of good guys out there too, but, of course, there are sure to be more of the `braindead` variety too.......
Not only because of `daddy`s money`, but simply because the big majority of karting IS direct drive......therefore, a lot more to choose from.
