agreed, dry powder is far more effective than other extinguishers, the only problem with dry powder use indoors is it is an airbourne extinguisher, ie the powder can be breathed in so use indoors is usually not wise, if you look in office blocks its usually Afff or co2, also dry powder super cools metal, so if youve got a hot engine, it could crack the block and send shrapnel around the awning, having experienced this happen on a brake fire where the disk exploded in my first year of marshalling, its pretty scary!
