Thanks for the debates on Formula KGP! Its always interesting to read negatives and positives! if we adhere and react to both disciplines the result will always be good!
We are having a great time in KGP, meeting new clients and people and creating what for us is an exciting class. We have already witnessed some great KGP racing and atmosphere at PFI. Despite the worlds economic dooms and glooms,I have to say putting the business aspect aside for a moment, my enthusiam for club racing has been re ingnited. The two races at PF so far have been very enjoyable and Nigel Edwards and TVKC team could not have been more supportive. For all the drivers that are now involved and considering KGP -thank you.
I have to say I did like frags comment "nobody thought anything of easykart at the time" ! Well 5 years later and believe me after a lot of hard work our entries for easykart are set to rise again in 2011. If KGP can go anthing like Easykart we will have a great class. In fact we are bringing across as a natural progression as part of our business model 5 drivers from easykart (who started as novices in 2009 and 2010) into KGP for 2011 so, hopefully you can see there is method in our madness of bringing drivers through into mainstream kart racing.
Lastly and for the record Simpson and Fawcett have both used standard Birel chassis and engines from the box. In the Jan meeting simpson won on used slicks from testing. Whilst of course there is a difference in driving ability through the KGP field as Ade Smith has pointed out there isn't in the engines.
As you have all said Time will tell - and hey we have no problem with that ! Have a great 2011 season in whatever you are racing.
