the kart gp engine is mass produced which has kept the cost doen, Ł2000 instead of Ł2800 with very restrictive rules on what you can do to the engine which keeps tuning costs down over say KF1 or super KF where tuning is king.

Also, all rotax and KF use the same chassis with different brake systems, theres just different varients for harder and softer tyres, you can use all of them in both classes.
