Times are tough at the moment, the first thing to go is the luxuries and karting is a luxury to a lot of people.
I'd love to be racing but I haven't got the necessary funds at the moment and the higher the cost the harder it is for myself and many others to be able to afford to participate in what is a fantastic sport.
All the little rises just price people out of it, a quid here and there mounts up to a lot of money:
Tyres Special Parts New Helmets (Regulation Change) Petrol Prices Club Fee's / Practise fee's
Everything keeps going up and regulations keep changing meaning new parts are always needed and it just sticks the knife further and is slowly bleeding you dry.
I don't think tal-ko could do any more though. The changes they have made over recent seasons have certainly helped the budget racer, but the other classes seems to be still introducing new parts that you need.
Chris.
