Until the class becomes competitive then you can more than double those costs.

Having said that, I always though the TKM was a tidy 4-stroke package. Not quite sure why they had to mount the barrel backwards though? The Biland was too big, the prokart too slow for top level racing and I've never seen the others.

Truth be known, if the weight and complexity can be kept down, it's pretty irrelevant what engine package is run. Similarly, any "issues" people may have racing a particular class usually only arise when the level of competition increases and have little to do with the fundamentals of the class itself.
