Didn't think it was appropriate to ask for opinions on the merits of one vs the other on just the 4 stroke forum (or just the 2 stroke forum for that matter) as only one side of the argument will be heard.
My experience would contradict the running expense argument as although rebuild costs are higher, rebuilds are less frequent.
The sound argument is a matter of opinion, and in my opinion, a field of Bilands sounded much better than a field of Rotaxes.
