yes thats the norm,the bits you didnt use is also correct.refitting and cleaning is a good habit to get into and is something that is advisable to do before every race weekend or outing to try ensure unnecessary issues and the only thing you need to know about refitting the carb to start with is that you need to be really clean and methodical.you will pick up some of the finer details of setting up the carb as you go along
the black rectangular "seal" that is the same as the tan one can be used and is actually said to be better than the tan one but less reliable,personally ive never noticed a difference in performance but it does seem less reliable
two things to mention about the bottom of the carb.the two half circular gaskets are not identical.make sure you replace like for like.also the black part with the little metal "nipple".make sure that locates on to and is held in place by the metal fork as you lay it on to the carb
the carb settings are absolutely fine(many people will suggest different settings_and is infact the very same settings i always start a race weekend on to ensure when i go out im in the ball park.its then up to me on the day to tweak the settings during the day to get the optimum
