it depends on what your doing!!!....club 100 run tkmn engines and the hours can be greatly increased by gearing down the engine so that it revs lower....say 14000 and richening the carb up/running the standard 310ml/5 litres of oil....if your just doing trackdays then this is fine and will greatly increase engine life, but if your racing you will probably finish last every time because it will affect performance. in terms of engine hour counters my mychron always had an hour counter on it

in racing i always had the mains/seals done at 5hrs and full wack at 10hrs...i know people service a lot earlier and some a lot later.
