remember also that KF is multi manufacturer so can't pool engines
rotax has several DIFFERENT tuners so cant pool engines as they all have a vested interest and you'd never get a unanamous vote.
Thats the top British champs out the window for pooling.
Your local club will have nowhere near enough resources to pool engines so thats out.
What does that leave? Maybe TKM, Blue and Easykart. TKM and Easykart are budget series anyway dont know about blue.
One option for the one make classes is the buy back scheme they implimented for honda cadet So for Rotax Max and engine new is £1900+vat. A scheme like that would put a value of say £2000+vat on each engine and you have to sell it for that price if your competitor thinks it has an advantage over his. The idea is that it stops people spending £5000 on a rotax when they know it'll only be worth £2k.
I dont run cadet so maybe someone else can enlighten as to whether it works or not. And hey if you can make a standard motor win each month that everyone wants to buy your engine u could even make money with each race.
Maybe something similar but say every super 1 rotax competitor has to sell their engine through super 1 so the powers that be know that the engine is being sold for £2k, rather than the enforced sale that they tried for cadet.
