Come on Iain, you can't seriously be satisfied with the content (or lack of it !!).
The final section is started by "...The group realise that some of the suggestions will be seen as radical..."
Which suggestions are they ?
From what I read these are thye only suggestions they have made (paraphrased) - none of which I'd call radical :-
1) Need for a class approval panel (surely one already exists ???) 2) Limit the number of classes (wow that's radical) 3) No engine sealing (at last !!) 4) Clubs need an Information officer and should use the web etc (come on guys - is this all you can think of ? 5) National Champs need to increase their prestige (???) 6) One British Championship per class (isn't that what we used to have ?) 7) Number of drivers (National Champs) should be limited (they are doing that already by increasing the cost of evrything !) 8) All National Champ weekend under permit (wow another radical idea !) 9) Cost effective introduction to Karting (havn't we got that already ? RFB, LGK, Tyro etc) 10) Use less tyres (yet another radical idea) 11) Less damage at meetings (surely that's up to the Clerks to be firmer) 12) Look afer the environment - noise, disposal etc. (another no-brainer.)
There seems to be a large emphasis on National Champs when the vast majority of karters are purely Club racers.
The Kart Sporting Committee " .. believe that it has correctly identified the main areas of concern .."
Are they serious ??
Do they really think they are the main problems with the sport ?.
