I found Magura to be very powerful and on/off at first, but with adjustment, bedding in and getting used to them they were very good. The downside was that I was using them in endurance (only 90 min races) and the disks were cracking and needed replacing every couple of races (very expensive!!)
Kelgates are equally as powerful, better feel, cool better and last far longer - OTK (before the Magura) were no good for endurance, so we ditched them. They may have been better suited to sprints though.
