Never have any trouble with OTG brakes, you just have to look after them and deglaze the disk.
I deglaze several times on a race day and also true the disk up in the lathe every couple of months.
Don't use the cheap pads like the red or greens from EBC as the compound is not designed for the kart disk.
The Tony pads are great but expensive and they do wear.
They also benefit from a deglaze.
I've now had pads made with a new compound which are far cheaper and actually Andrew says they are better than the Tony pads.
They also don't require any deglazing.
They do wear but if you want to be somewhere up the front, it comes at a cost sometimes.
No other pad I ever tried has come anywhere close to being acceptable by Andrew.
I thought the Wright kart brakes were dire but I suppose braking is a very personal thing but there is a lot of time to be had in braking.
