My lad was out practicing at Kim on saturday (junior TKM). First time there and first time with a Mycron 4 fitted.
Now my limited logic would suggest that his fastest lap would also see max RPM on the engine as fairly long straight.
Looking at the data his fastest lap (45.78) hit 14,896rpm. Other laps hit 15,300+ rpm.
His faster laps often had lower max rpm than the slower laps.
The only explanation I can come up with is that in the slower laps with higher max RPM he was leaving braking too late and therefore compromising entry and line.
Is that reasonable or am I way off the mark here?
