89cc has not suggested that his experience is any better than yours.
He has just given his `personal' view that a neck brace appears to have helped him by comparing the result of a crash without a neck brace and a similar one with a neck brace.
I did not get the impression that he is trying to show that this is indisputable eveidence in favour of wearing a neck brace but simply stating his own view based on his experience.
In the very few years I have been involved as a karting dad i have seen several horrific looking crashes with drivers being taken away by air-ambulance but have never heard of any serious injury. In fact, the worst has been a broken collar bone and the driver was wearing a leatt neck brace.
So far it seems to be a good marketing ploy rather than a proven safety device.
