Your F1 comparisons couldn't be more pointless. It's only karting - it's meant to be fun.
I'm sure you're very happy re-building braking systems after every outing, but most have better things to do. I'd rather manufacturers in question improved the designs (some are clearly okay) and made the parts a little less maintenance intensive. As Dazz indicated, this could be mandated by the CIK.
I can't see any reason why this would not be possible with no loss in performance.
