Hi, the Comer on ebay is an early model probably Puma or possibly even the earlier model CD06, I would not buy this if you intend to race next year as it will fall out of homogation.
If you live in Warwick I guess you intend to race at Shenny, Rissy & Whilton if that is the case the field is at least 90% Comer so I would suggest that would be your best bet. We race at Rissy & Shenny (No 99) and have lots of friends who have tried Honda and WTP but in the end go with Comer because to be competitive it is easier if you have the same kit.
At this time of year there will be a lot of people moving up to Juniors so you can pick up a complete outfit including a spares package. This will seem a large outlay at first , trust me if you buy a for £700 or £800 on its own the extra bits sprockets, wets , chains, trolley, etc will add another £300 or £400 so to buy a whole outfit for £1200 in the end is not a bad deal.
If you look in the Market Place section there is a Zip Storm for sale on Gloucester which I think I know and if you can afford it may give you everything you need in one go. If it is the kart I think it has Super 1 history and did win a top 15 number so in the right hands would be a good starter outfit.
Feel free to come along and ask any questions, we will be at Rissy this weekend and at the remaining Shenny meetings.
Matthew
