Hold on a second...these parts eg starter motor and battery as you highlight are NOT parts that enhance performance so why be so strict and make racers buy parts that are completely overpriced. I thought this was a budget class? Obviously not the case if Mr Shone makes it clear that the battery's aren't compliant with his rules unless they retail at nearly 50 quid when the alarm battery's do exactly the same job, not to mention the ridiculous price of the starter motors that again don't make the karts any faster. I can see the point in measuring the springs etc, but not checking parts that will make no difference whatsoever, maybe it's me but some parts of the regulations in this class really leave me scratching my head...
