Ian (itpro) it does not matter how accurately you measure the dimensions as you suggest if the chassis has a twist this will not show up by using the fixed point sysytem, one could therefore assume that the chassis is straight but still have the twist problem which can only be measusured on a flat plate or jig. The original post said that all appeared straight but the handeling was showing problems on track so I still maintain that either the rear axle location has been disturbed from the horizontal plane of the chassis or there is a twist in the waist of the kart causing the horizontal plane of the front to be 'out' in relation to the rear. The result of which is an inbalance of loading accross the kart highlighted by an enhanced responce in one direction of turn and a diminished response in the other. As carreraman said he needs more steering input one way than the other.
