Hi IoM 25,

By reading what you have said, by the brake pads not reaching the disks by putting new pads in, the system, requires brake shims which are placed in between the brake pad and piston. Most of the time as brake pads wear down, you will require more shims in between the pads and the piston.

The brake shims for the Arrow kart can be obtained from Walker Racing.
