Even better than that, if you include him in the maintenance routine, your lad will get to know how his engine works and understand what "strange noises" mean.

This will save you more money!

Aidan learned two-stroke engines on an un-sealed WTP B1, and won't hesitate to pull into Park Ferme to avoid further damage to his engine.

Makes them a better driver, I believe.

By the way, you will need a good hydraulic press to part the crank and a dependable set of engineers' centres, or a lathe, to align on re-assembly.
