Well, some of the Kart tracks I've been to in France are so remote you wonder why anyone ever goes there. Yet I have never been to a circuit without electricity throughout the paddock and camping areas. They don't even charge.
What is bizarre, is that in the UK, you cannot run engines in the paddock, yet 100 generators is deemed acceptable. In france it is the exact opposite. EVERYONE warms engines before they leave for the pre-grid. Yet overall the paddock is much quieter and I don't come home with ringing in my ears like you do from a UK meeting.
Another anomoly, warm up is usually from 8am in France. But they must stop racing between 12 & 2pm. Unlike the UK with 10am starts and no lunch break.
Tells you a lot about the 2 countries.
