Brian I had a guy come to me with an electric kart last year which would easyly make the 0 to 50 mph in the 6 seconds you are looking for however no matter how much work he put into the thing it was only good for around one or two laps and then the performance fell away sharply.
So if you were wondering which class one may be competetive against the answer is IT WON'T !!!
