I used a contour HD mounted on my lid for practice, I did not try and use during racing because I know my championship don't like them. First time I went to scrutineering with just the mount still attached the scrute made a fuss and moaned about cameras, then passed my lid for the next 3 meetings before demanding I remove the mount because 'It may penetrate the helmet in a crash'. Fair enough if that's his opinion, he has a responsibility for drivers safety but I believe am lot of officials don't want drivers using cameras because of the potential hassle of people trying to use them in protests and appeals, in the same way they ignore most contact and dirty driving. It's a shame because cameras are a great promotional tool for karting and individual championships, and the MSA should be exploiting this.
