If you stand on the right hand (engine side) of the kart, then you should see all the Vega logos.

You can run them either way as it is unlikey the scarf join would fail and if you want to eke a few more laps out of old tyres, it can help.

Strictly speaking, the side wall is designed to flex in the direction of rotation of the tyre.
