my guess is that the MSA want to regulate the behaviour of the parents and not be forced to penalise the young driver for poor behaviour of adults. as it is at presant if an adult misbehaves badly ( ie swears at an oficial or another driver etc then its the poor child that gets the points on his licence or suspension, this way it would be the parent that gets the points so the child does not get unfarly penalised. this to me sounds good in principle BUT as said on here already its another cost burdon on the lad and dad ( or mum ) teamd that are the grassroots of karting> I hope that the cost is low £10 ish
