Ex cadet mum here.

As the chap above said, dont by cheap tools. Save and buy decent.

Look on the market place for stuff you want, we have found it preferable to ebay.

Wet suit for the boy.
Good waterproof for yourself.
Couple of sprokets (ask at blackbush which ones)
A flask - for tea!
