"Instead of setting up a new association it would be good to get people to use the existing club membership to make their views known."
If people won't use the existing club system, what makes it more likely they will use a new "karter's club"?
"Look deeper and you find that the proposal came from the ABKC "
Only sort of. Someone wanted to introduce a new class of kart. The rules say that they have to have an association prepared to administrate the class. The person put their request forward, the ABKC said they would act as administration for the class and the various MSA committees said they had no objection.
One of the reasons these things so often look like a done deal is because the people who sit on the various committees are often also part of another organisation (ABKC,BKIA etc) so it looks pretty incestuous....but part of the problem is that they have difficulty getting people onto the various committees because not enough people volunteer.
But at this moment the MSA are accepting new volunteers for the various committees.....so clearly the appropriate thing to do is to apply NOW. That way you might get a chance to apply your common senses on our behalf.
