There is an excellent product made for the job which you cannot fail to remove, locks everything solid and takes 3 seconds to fit and remove. It is made by PKR (I will have to find contact details) but it is based on the post & spring clam arrangement used by car alignment companies to lock the steering wheel in the straight ahead position when doing alignment. I have one and I will attempt to publish a photo with a photobucket link later this week if I can.
