You won't have a problem getting a license if you can demonstrate to the doctor your diabetes is well controlled and you have good hypo awareness.

A lot of people (particularly young) don't take type 1 Diabetes seriously and hence suffer serious complications which could put you or others at risk when racing.

If you have a good approach to looking after your diabetes then you will be as safe as the next person and you will get a license ok.
