Imagine the grass bank parallel to the new extension has been moved back 20 yards towards the old runaway, sunday market. Now instead of the hairpin into the chicane, the hairpin becomes a 90 right then there is a short straight into a right hand 180 hairpin, straight into a 90 left on to the "old" new extension. I assume the new hairpin is banked, however as there's paddock entrance off the outside lip of this corner I wouldn't expect it to be particularly banked, unless the mean the 90 right that replaces the old hairpin, in which it'll be a fairly scary flat out right hander sweeping out of the infield. The chicane is effectively bypassed however looking at the plans I've seen it's still there for an alternative track configuration, and they've incorporated a bambino track around the old new extension.
I might have posted a pic, however I feel if Ellough haven't released publicly I figure there's a reason, and I wouldn't want to steal their thunder if that is an intention.
