Formula Kart Stars to Make American Debut

One of the karting world’s most prestigious championships, Formula Kart Stars of the UK, will make their American debut June 18-20 at Oakland Valley Race Park. Formula Kart Stars is proud to be the premier training ground for aspiring single seat and sports car drivers. This event is open to any racers in North America. Formula Kart Stars is supported by Bernie Ecclestone and Formula One Management.
“We are extremely excited to offer the opportunity for American drivers to experience our karting programs,” states Carolyn Hoy, Owner and Director for Formula Kart Stars. “We have very strong support from Formula One Management and it is the wishes of Formula Management to grow and showcase world class karting around the globe. This opportunity to come to the United States is our first of many races around the globe.”
The race in the United States will offer four classes; Cadet, Micro-Max, Junior Rotax and TaG Senior. The winners of each class will be awarded the opportunity to race in the prestigious Kartmasters Championship at the famed Paul Fletcher International karting facility on August 1st. The winners will receive a race entry, kart, engines, race tires, fuel, pit passes and $ 750 towards airfare and lodging.
Tag Heuer, and Reebok proudly sponsor the Formula Kart Stars America Championship. More supporting sponsors will be announced in the near future along with specific information about the race venue, the entry and rules. The rules and age guidelines will be in line with American WKA Cadet and Tag rules and Rotax will follow the standard Rotax International Rules.
