Aquila... you're spot on with the root of the problem.
Hey, we are where we are right now and as I've suggested previously... the best thing the MSA could do is put all its eggs in the Rotax basket and kill off all the other classes. You would have :
One cadet class.
One junior class - make it minimax.
One senior class - make it Rotax Max.
Send all the others the same way that the 100cc classes went. That will force everyone who wants to remain competing in an MSA governed championship running in the same class.
As a dyed in the wool 100cc man, I don't like the concept of a single make class at all... but given where we are now, its better that the MSA act decisively rather ambivolently letting nature take its course whereupon we'll have more and more 'new' classes start up and fail. If you put this idea to all licence holders, I imagine a majority would endorse it.
