I think the point is cameras will/should improve things but will not be a silver bullet because there isn't one.
Personally I like the idea of CCTV AS WELL AS a few extra people on the first couple of corners if only for lap 1 or 2.
Maybe over the course of the season the number of "incidents" will reduce but let's face it - at some point in the season you're going to shell out for a stub, axle or worse - a new chassis through no fault of your own because of someone else's recklessness. Yes - the cameras may show it and they may get points or even banned but it won't pay for your damage and it won't put you back to where you came off assuming you get back on.
As I said in another thread - I hope the organisers in their desire to improve things (NO problem with that whatsoever) have also thought through how it is going to work in practical terms. Ok - just because something is difficult to implement doesn't mean don't try it if it's a good idea but I predict some interesting debates in the the office.
