Chris - you used the word "we" pay for it, and obviously yes "we" do.
What I am saying is that any person with a long term illness and receiving potentially £1000's of pounds worth of treatment every year isn't asked to pay any more for this, again in my view quite rightly.
But Kart racing is not a necessity of life. So who should pay for any extra costs involved in processing applications from people with disabilities? Perhaps all the non disabled drivers should pay say an extra £5 each to cover it. If the majority want that, that's fine with me.
Then again why not just ask the government to tax us all abit more so that everyone can go kart racing for free! Where do you want this to end?
My point is at the end of the day anyone who can afford to go kart racing should expect to pay the fair charges specific to processing their application. Medicals for racing are not covered by the NHS so why should the Doctors work for free so that you can have a great past time. (And please don't say it's becasue they all earn over £100k cause that's boll**ks)
If anyone has evidence that the MSA or medical professionals charges are ripping people off then just produce the evidence or stop moaning!
