No sensible circuit owner should let you on track unless adequately kitted out in suitable safety clothing. You have just as much chance of an accident in testing as you do racing. Boots must cover your ankles and a full piece race suit must be worn (look on karting market place & Ebay for a cheap one, you can always sell on if you decide not to take up the sport). No scarves, hoodies or exposed skin!!
