i wasnt going to comment on this one but i am going too. i can understand that the track has to make money in order for it to run, but surely the track doesnt make that much money in the two days that thet track is used by the club, infact it is actually only one day as the practice day revenu goes to the track as it is an open circuit, and for someone that has raced there all year it wasnt that busy on the practise days, the club proberbly helped the track in that respect.
it seems mad to deny dykc to run next year, it would have certainally have put the track on the map and proberbly have had good numbers since all the hard work has been put in to making 2010 a success. there was a buzz going around for dykc next year but now it is shelved!
i feel like we have wasted a whole years racing as we have fought for nothing, we supported the club and the track and were looking forward to next season.
you say that MSA racing can still take part at the track, How exactly? is teeside going to run there own msa series/club next year?....or was that the intention in not allowing dykc to run next year so teeside could do it themself. i certainally wont be racing at teeside if it is not hosted under MSA.
personally im gutted at the decision to not host the club next year.
one day loss of profit cant be that detrimental to the track and im sure that next year would have been a different story to this year and the track would have been paid for their use, and no dout have brought more intrest and revenue to the track
guess now we will never know.
