I raced Easykart senior before the weight split, had previously raced in mini and junior rotax, and as we thought it was expensive we went Easykart route, but the running costs came to more, as you have excessive travelling, hotels and like has been mentioned, the spares are expensive and cannot be brought elsewhere.
I also as a driver found that racing the same people each month wasn't much fun either. by half way through the year you could predict the top 7 and then there would be the next little group about 2/3 tenths off. and so on, and because of qualifying this is how it stayed on track most of the time.
We have since gone back to Senior Rotax, running on much lower costs and i find it more enjoyable as a driver. I would also say, comparing the two classes that i find the rotax paddock more friendly and welcoming, and i know if something breaks of i need help it's there where as Easykart we felt a bit alone.
Best thing about easykart. The noise!
