CLay Pigeon Kart Club have a rotax kart and a tkm kart that you could try.
At 85kgs, I would guess that you won't be carrying any lead and will be a couple of kgs over the minimum weight in tkm, based on my weight and my tkm kart. Rotax 177 caters for the heavier driver if you go muck=h over this. Jnr TKM use 100cc engines and seniors 115cc versions of the BT82. www.tal-ko.com for more info. There are many things to consider with respect to running costs. Ultimately, the larger and more competitive the grid, the more you'll have to spend to be at the front. The Market Place on this site is a good place to look and will give you a good idea of prices. Have you had a look at the site I posted? Pete keeps a really tight control on his budget. I'd generally say avoid ebay unless someone can check what you're looking at as there is a large amount of rubbish on there. Have a look through previous posts on starting and start making notes; there is so much to learn. Let us know when you can pop down to clay as the best way is to meet current racers.
Good luck! Kevin (biased to tkm as that is what I race)
