First thanks for all the various bits of advice.
I'm not building everything on the kart, things like the stub axles, brake calipers and rear axle I've bought secondhand.
The only thing that I've made from scratch (well from plans) is the chassis itself.
I wasn't planning on doing any racing (just yet) more some practice/testing as I've been told of a track (stretton circuit) which hosts weekly practice sessions.
I would very much like to go along to some race meetings and learn some more from other starting off, I'm based in between Nottingham and derby.
