Cheers Dad,

Do you think the first link, in its bracket (rather than clamp configuration) is what the CIK are using in this pic?

Unscrew the bottom half off (the tube clamp) and I think you'd have that mount.

If it is are you familiar with it?

Cards on the table, I'm in video production, and specialising in karting, I'm trying to satisfy myself, that I can satisfy a MSA scrutineer (god bless 'em, hearts in the right place, but they are kill joys) that I can safely mount cameras onboard, for a championship that will remain nameless, in personal experience, being an ex driver, I've found best place both for safety and results, is a lightweight onboard camera attached to the side of a lid, convincing a scrutineer of this truth is another matter, they'd rather I'd attach it to the kart, trouble is high frequency vibration gives cameras the "jelly wobble" and will loosen clamp nuts, which forces you down the bracket drilling bodywork.

Anyway to cut to the chase it would seem like the best approach would be to adopt the CIK approach, after all (my argument will go) whats good for the CIK must be safe enough for the MSA? Ho ho ho, I hear you say...

If you are familiar with your first link, I actually don't want to mount a Go Pro, which I'm sure is a fine camera, but asthetically looks horrible (a small brick) on a kart , I prefer ContourHD, which I think give better results, and looks slightly better, do you know if that mount has 1/4" universal screw in it anyway or maybe could be added, Go Pro seem to make a lot of add ons? Don't worry if it hasn't, I can always purchase one and modify, but it would save time.
