With my karting stradling two countries, it is depressing to see that the overiding topics of all karting conversations, on and off line, both in France and the UK concerns the imposition of badly thought out or unwelcome modifications to rules and regulations. Whether that be class changes, engine changes, tyre or weight changes or homolation of helmets and or kneck supports etc. etc.
Is this how the sport has always been or symtomatic of over bearing controlling bodies out of touch with the grass roots?
By the way, each and every problem is 10 times worse in France. But regardless I and many others seem at their wits end and would jump at the chance of another sport if one could be found to match the same buzz.
I view karting a bit like smoking, took me 3 years to get hooked and then 20 years to quit.
