Jim, you should be able to get into the 1.09's with your weight soon.

The biggest mistake most people make around MK is carrying too much speed into the corners, then blowing the apexes. You can attack turns 2-3 really hard but you've got to get it across the concrete at turn 2 and drift only halfway across the track before flicking it right for 3. Again, brake hard and early for 4 and get the nose pointed and across the concrete on the inside. You're better off taking a 'comfort lift' before 6 and get the line right as it's the trickest corner on the track. 7 is easy, but get the nose on the kerb, don't blow the apex. At 8, carry tons of mid corner speed, if it means braking early to get the line right then fine, the exit speed is most important. 9 is flat but turn in point is critical to keep the kart nailed to the kerb on the left all the way round so you can get hard on the brakes for 10 in a straight line and pick up the throttle the instant that you turn the wheel. Entry speed is critical there, got to be cock on. Take all the concrete on the inside of 11 and 1 is flat as you know.

Simple as that really. ;-)
