1st year in karting

It's been exactly 1 year since my first post on this site, the day after getting Max his first kart. 12 months later and where are we? To summarise:

Negative points:
* Worse off than I've ever been in my life
* All my other hobbies and interests have gone out of the window.
* Lots of scrap bent metal and plastic
* A garage full to the brim of kart parts.
* Wife won't talk to me for a week after she's seen the credit card statement.

Positive points:
* Wife won't talk to me for a week after she's seen the credit card statement.
* Met a whole bunch of new friends.
* Brought me and Max closer.
* A garage full of cool looking tools and parts.
* That wonderful smell of petrol and oil that greets me everytime I open the garage door.
* Memorable "days of thunder" that Max and I will never forget.
* Lots of laughs and smiles (as well as a few tears)

All in all, we're having the time of our lives.
Thanks to everyone on this forum who's helped us on our way, and all of you who know us from Rye.

I'm sure you're all gonna tell me how much easier and cheaper it is from now on.......NOT!!!
