Well Mr Rush, I understood you had been eliminated earlier than the Final for having a non compliant Carburettor, sorry for my mistake.
A ruler would be good enough to see the difference between the design length and the tolerance allowed (not o.2mm btw)
That does not alter the fact that you are either a liar and did modify the carburettor, or foolish enough not to check it.
As for the Junior being non-compliant that turned out to be not the case, -- so it was just you then.
Most who have been caught in the past came up with the "thats how I was supplied it" excuse. As for using springs of different tensions, they are not "as supplied " and are therefore illegal. This is irrespective of what Tillotson "can" supply. Also Tillotson do not supply springs to a specific length they use other parameters it is up to you to check you comply.
At the end of the day, you either race by the rules or will be eliminated. Not racing by the rules is usually seen as cheating. No one likes a cheat.
The Formula Blue races, especially the juniors were excellent, fair, racing, somewhere cheating has no place. The Scrutineers did a good job and should be congratulated.
Call me if you would like to discus this.
