Simon My son has been racing for some 7 or so years and all he wants to do is compete against the best, this is why we choose S1. No disrepect to NKRA, i think the idea is great but as your post says the grids are very small if any. There is nothing more satisfying than beating racers with a huge budget and we have achieved this on a number of occasions, purely on merit. I do not see how you can say NKRA has a less cheatworthy enviroment over S1, when S1 has been at the forefront of trying to achieve a level playing field, in my opinion better than any other championship in the country. As far as my comment about my sons future I have always had the same attitude, that is I do not have the money to further his career as do a lot of others so keep your feet firmly on the ground and enjoy the racing, you never know something could happen but it is unlikely, you only have to look at others who have been amazingly successful throughout thier karting career (Mike Simpson for arguments sake) but never really got the right breaks, why should we be any different. The main thing is that my son loves his racing and nothing makes me prouder than watching live out his dream. Paul
